YOU ARE THE KEY

Time Management For Self Improvement/Awareness

Control Your Time

Programming time to gain time.

The we use time -- or waste it -- is largely a matter of habit patterns.

What about habits?

Unless we make changes, our bad habits,

will put a short ceiling on our achievement.

It only takes 21 days to form or develop a habit. Make it a good one.

If you consider programming your time you are almost certain to "gain" time much sooner than you would expect.

A. Where does time go?  Can I control it?

B. We can gain time in only two ways.

              1. by doing the job in less time than usual, and

                2. by using small blocks of time that we waste.

The first way can be achieved by using your time more efficiently.

The second way can be achieved by programming our time.

 C. Reasons for Programming Time

Is it a waste of time to make a schedule?

Will it tie you down too much?

Don't you plan vacations?

Places to stay. Sight to see. Routes to follow.

Money to spend. Things to buy. People to see.

During the planning stage,

each factor is adjusted and readjusted

until the best possible package is assembled.

It also makes sense to plan the other weeks of your year.

Planning is the KEY to efficiency

Gives you the satisfaction of being in control of yourself and your life.

Several specific values are derived from programming time.

1. Gets you started

A well planned schedule can be th

e external force that gives you a shove.

when you finish a scheduled block of work

it helps minimize "clock watching."

8. Regulates your daily living.
